In 2017 Alexander's main championship assault was in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship. It was his debut season racing in America with the BMW M6 GTLM and after a challenging start to the year.
In 2014 and 2015 Alexander drive with Barwell Motorsports at the Spa 24hrs in the Pro-Am line up. With two different sets of co drivers, Alexander and the team scored a 2nd place finish in 2014 and 3rd place finish in 2015.
Alexander & his Rowe Racing team-mate Philip Eng showed the pace of the new BMW M6 GT3 with 2 podium finishes at Misano, Italy. The pair finished 2nd in the Qualifying Race and secured a second podium with a 3rd place result in the Main Race.
